Music Madness YAY =D

Today I went shopping with my friend Dougurasu and man, IT WAS SO WORTH IT! Sure, got a manga, got some food for my journey tomorrow (yay! VACATION!) and shoes (my shoes are still fine, but some are getting old...), but the best moment was in a shoe store...

A man walks to a store clerck: "What the heck do you think you are trying to accomplish, with the music this loud? Are you trying to attract some customers? Well, maybe SOME people like this, but most...!"

Poor store clerck; what to do about such an idiot? And what does dear Kitty do?

"Hey, Dougurasu, love the music! Haven't heard so much Dutch songs lately; now I know exactly what is going on right now!"

Ooooh, how he steamed up XP He left the store, since he didn't find what he wanted anyway. And when we left? I turned to the store clerck.

"Next time... volume... one tad louder XP"

I hope I made that store clerck smile. Seriously, the things some people complain about... And the music wasn't loud at all! My grandma wouldn't have even heard it XD

I'm totally ready to go!

... Too bad my voice decided to pick TODAY as a day to leave me; totally abandonment. While I can still work (nothing wrong with my fingers, my eyes, my brain), it means I can't do everything. Like answering phones. Like opening the door (intercom). Like answering questions...

Can you imagine the silence??! XD My collegaes will probably enjoy today! And I just know tomorrow my voice won't be better, so... It'll probably be better by sunday, when I'm at my vacation spot *rolls eyes* Right in time ¬¬.

A big pro about no voice: I can't talk french XP So my dad will have to do all the talking XP Unless we get into trouble. Then I'll whisper my way out. (Dad + French = very non existant. Kitt + French = 25% chance of mutual understanding XP). Then again, my dad managed to talk to French people before. I just hope people won't think I have the Mexican Flue XD.

Anyway, tomorrow will be my last blog post for a while; probably anyway. My vacation spot has no internet, but I might get online at a cafe or so... But that's not my goal. My goal is TOTAL INTERNETLESS =D W00t!

Crazy lucky?

Or plain bad luck?

Last night, my dad decided to make a full back-up of his laptop, since we'll be leaving for vacation soon. He makes the back-up, he finishes the back-up, he removed the external hard drive, he opens his outlook express...

... and the poor thing dies a horrible sudden death. Seriously. About 15 minutes after the back up was completed! So, instead of setting my dad up with baby sitting (sister-and-me-thing, dun ask), we were forced to buy a new laptop for him today.

Seriously. I want that thing.

And guess what... my dad immediately offered me to switch my laptop for his! So he has the old one and I have the sparkly new one!

NO WAY, DAD!

You ALWAYS take hand-me-downs, you always put yourself in the back. YOU EARNED THIS!

Other than that, I bought a few movies (bargain bin; love that place) and... a Turtle Mobile Phone Strap! YES, a TURTLE! Already love it =D Turns out it can also be used to clean your photo camera... well, that's not special. You can also use your shirt for that *rolls eyes* Or avoid the whole 'fingers on the preview screen' thing. *rolls eyes again*

My cold seems to be in the last phase. 2 people at work were really paranoid about it. Not about the Mexican/Swine Flu... or maybe they were. Well, I'm taking DOUBLE precautions this time, because if you have a cold, it's easier to get a flu. I was my hand almost four times more than usual, I stay away from people and if I cough or sneeze, I turn away from people/and or the things that are regularly touched (like door handles). And at work, I use my tablet, instead of my mouse (because it's better for my wrist) so the mouse stays clean. So, that only leaves the keyboard and thanks to my accidental slip of the disinfective hand wash, that thing is now clean as well XD.
I don't want to infect ANYONE, and especially not now. But to do five steps back when I release a single sneeze, or to ask if I have washed my hands after every sneeze (that's why I brought disinfective gel, people!), is so overreacting. And annoying.

I even said to one of the two paranoids: "Do you have such poor health/resistance that you worry about a simple cold?!"

Thousands of people die each year because of a common flu. Nobody talks about that, but now that the Mexican/Swine Flue has appeared, people get paranoid. I believe the chance you die of a normal, common flu 0.2 %, if I read correctly at the National Health Center (RIVM?). The chance you die of the Mexican Flu is 0.4 %! Yes, twice as much, I know, I can count, but still... it's less than 1 % chance you die of this flu! That means that you have a 99% chance of survival!

I'm not saying people should stop caring about it or ignore all safetly/health precautions, but a tiny bit less paranoid would be great.

I'm having a COLD people. ONLY A COLD.

Atsja - part 3

Yup, still having a cold. Was allowed to go home early, partly due to that reason XP. I almost did everything I have to do and then I can rest, rest, rest *sighs happily*

Also, on the dream scene field: Why do little kids never listen WHEN YOU TRY TO SAVE THEIR LIVES??! Well, if one of them was left behind, I don't care anymore. I told them over and over again to stay close to me!

Astja - part 2

Yup, it's a cold all right. As long as I'm busy, things go fine, but the moment I sit down.... brain goes flatline.

Hence the following random thought: In Pokémon Battle Revolution... why does Pidgeot look like a flying chicken?

Anyway, my sister called, asking for some help, so I went to Utrecht; a large city I live nearby. The result was I got myself a Lan Connector and guess what: IT WORKS! My wii is FINALLY connected to the internet! And this just proves it was not MY failing, but the router's failing! HA!

Other than that... got my mom a b-day present. Now to find 3 other bday presents...

ATSJAAAA~!

Yesterday, I suddenly had a headache. Now I know why.

My little niece has infected me with her very first cold XD I've been drinking non stop today, as well as sneezing. Also explained why I kept feeling so cold yesterday. I did check if I did not have signs for the Mexican Flue. Why? Hello, I have a 2-3 months old niece! I do NOT want to infect her!

But, luckily, I didn't even come CLOSE to the list XD One of the signs was loss of appetite and trust me, I had appetite today!

Other than that: I drew. Lotsa. Will hope to combine it after this post! =D
