Yup, it was this time of the week again! Work! I went quite happy, after all, tomorrow I'm leaving for France and I don't have to work for 3 whole weeks! *wai* Unfortunately they forgot to mention because of the summer, I had to do extra work again. Luckily they decided I didn't have to do that much and it really was little extra work!! *wai part 2*. So, I left and walked my block... and it started to rain. Because they said it wouldn't rain untill the afternoon, I disconnected the sleeves from my jacket. So, it rained... and rained.... and my shirt was getting wet... and cold.. and wet.... *no more wai* And then you have those smart people in their warm and dry houses: 'Terrible weather, ne?'. Well, duh! No, I just LOOOOVE *sarcasm* this kind of weather. I love being a drowned cat (dutch expression) and catching a cold!
Anyway, I went home and got a nice warm shower and put on some dry clothes *feels warm and fuzzy now*
What happened yesterday? Oh, you don't wanna know! Honestly! Anyway, I finished the last page of the calendar and... well... the black and white version looks way better ~_~. *sniffs*

I'll be leaving for France tomorrow morning. I hope I won't miss the computer and my friends too much *sniffs and hugs computer* How will you be able to survive without me?! I'm supposed to get back in the night from 29th to 30th but I'll let you know by posting a small message. Feel free to e-mail me; my account is cleaned up and I can have a lot there. I just can't reply =S.
Oh well, here is the last thing for now.... if something new comes in I'll edit it underneath this line.
If there is a edit, it will appear here!!

Okay, now I'm having a small problem. I wrote a Serenay Moon Special and I am doubting wether to keep it or considering it as a 'lost episode'. Please help me decide. Please comment on this Special and tell me if you like it or not. And please be honest. If you don't care if it gets posted, please tell me that too!

Kiss,
Kitt

Special XXIII: The last one

He enjoyed laying in the field. Hidden between the bushes, he looked at the sky. He placed back the white stick in his mouth and inhaled.
"Derak!"
Derak shot up and saw an image of Lady Gaia; her arms crossed and with an angry face. "Jeez, why did you scare me like this?" He replied cursing. "You were that Gaia one, right?"
"Derak, you put out that cigarette right now!" The small image of the Guardian of the Earth pointed at the ground. "Are you crazy?!"
"But..." Derak tried.
Lady Gaia fumed with anger. "No, I will not let you destroy your own lunges on that primitive way! I don't care if you want to celebrate Aletheia's defeat, I want that cigarette out NOW!"
Growling Derak obeyed and threw away the cigarette. "Why are you so worried anyway?" He asked. "They are my lunges and you are not my mother!"
For a moment, Lady Gaia hesitated. "Maybe not, but I don't want you dead before you reach Chibi Kim. Have you ever seen what smoking does to your body?" She then spotted the cigarette. "And put it out! Do you want to start a forest fire? I thought you cared about the earth!"
"Stop worrying!" Derak walked at the cigarette. "It is my life."
"I don't care. Do you know why girls don't want to go out with you?" Lady Gaia decided to play hard. "No one wants to go out with a walking ash can. Smoking is very bad for you and you know that!" She saw Derak pushing out the cigarette. "And don't you dare smoking again!"
"Gosh, give me a break!" Derak sighed. "I already agreed with going on this stupid trip, so stop whining!"
"If you won't believe me how destructive smoking is, you'll have to find it out the hard way." Lady Gaia vanished. "If you want asphalt lunges and bad looks when you are 30, then so be it. You'll die young while you look old and I doubt it if you will ever find a girlfriend this way."
The words were harsh and cold and Derak sighed. Growling, he decided to join his friends. "Over protective woman." He whispered. "Why does she care anyway? I now have only one cigarette left. And I guess you can't buy them here."

When Derak reached his friends, Mika just finished combing her hair. "I need a new brush Moka." She said. "This one clashes with my hair. I want one like Kitty; hers is pretty." Mika then noticed something. "Ewh, what is that for a smell?"
Zach, Kitt and Moka sniffed also. "Gross!" Moka said and coughed.
"Derak!" Kitt yelled. "Have you been smoking again?! Gross!"
Zach waved with his hand. "I don't care if you want to destroy your own body, but I chose to keep my lunges tar-free."
Being in the worst mood ever, Derak didn't reply. He just sat down and took Lyric's flute. She sacrificed her life only a day ago and the wounds were still fresh. Softly, he started polishing the small flute with the beautiful sound. When Lyric's brother gave the flute to Derak, he suddenly knew how to play the Song of Hope. It was just as in the story Fanen told: the music just popped into his head. Maybe this flute was magical and that, whoever touched it, would be able to play its most famous song.
"I think we should go on." Zach decided.
Kitt nodded. "As long as Derak walks downwind. I don't know why people want to smoke. It's so disgusting."
Moka looked at Kitt. "It's an addiction. Most of the time, people only smoke so people would consider them as being 'cool'." He explained. "It's said to give an attitude."
"And a bad breath." Mika added. "I don't think anyone who smokes is cool. It's much harder to say 'no' than to say 'yes'." Moka sweated for a moment. "I admire anyone who stands up for themselves and dares to be who they really are." Moka sighed depressed.
Zach smiled when he saw Moka's sad face. "Okay, let's go. Derak, are you coming?"
Derak stood up with a bad mood and walked towards Zach. While he tucked the flute into his jacket, he grumbled a few words and all left.

After a while, Zach and his friends reached a village. While they walked through the streets, they saw people gazing at them.
"Why are they staring at us?" Mika asked.
Moka looked around. "Well, it's not like we blend in...." He noticed that everyone in the village was wearing something completely different from their own style. "It's like time was stopped here; it looks really medieval."
At that moment, a child ran through the streets. Without looking, the child bashed against Zach. Both Zach and the boy fell and rubbed their sore places. "Ah, watch out kid." Zach said.
The boy looked up and then pointed scared. "It's him!"
Zach looked around. "Who, me?" He asked. "Are you talking about me kid?"
"He's back!" The boy jumped up and ran towards his mother. "It's that mean boy again!"
"Huh?" Kitt helped Zach up. "Zach, what have you done this time?"
"I don't know, I swear it!" Zach looked around while the villagers gathered around him. "They must be mistaking!"
Derak tapped on Zach's shoulder. "Ehm, I think that's our problem."
All looked aside and saw a reward posted. It was in black and white, but the boy on the poster looked almost the same as Zach. Only, this boy had a scar over his face. "Oo, that's why." Kitt nodded understanding. "He looks cute; what's his name?"
"Kitt!" Zach pulled Kitt back and looked angry at her. "Excuse me, there seems to be a misunderstanding. I'm not that boy over there."
"Give me back my baby's bottle!" A woman with child yelled.
An older man raised his stick. "And give me my rocking chair back!"
"My frying pan!"
"My prized green carrots!"
"But I'm not..." Zach tried.
Moka pulled Zach along. "I don't think they'll be the talking types. Run!"
All followed Moka's suggestion and got chased all over the villages. From one side to another and the whole way back again. Through streets with shops till the peaceful school; no detail was missed on this sightseeing tour... if it wasn't for the fact that Zach and his friends were too busy with fleeing from the angry crowd.
"Isn't there... a way out?" Mika asked. "Oo, that shop window is like a mirror!" She stopped for a moment but Moka pulled her along.
"Yeah..." Derak huffed. "I can't... keep this... much longer." He stopped running and tried to catch his breath.
Kitt looked around. "I told you to quit smoking!" She yelled. "Your condition would have been a lot better without!"
"Well, I'm so sorry!" Derak snapped angry. "I'll try to remind that in my next life!"
"You should." Kitt pulled Derak up. "I'm glad you finally see the dangers of smoking."
"I just wished he saw it a lot sooner." Zach stepped back. "Any last wishes?"
Kitt and Derak looked up and saw that they were surrounded. While the crowd closed in, Zach and his friends got led towards a shed with hay.
"Can't we talk about this?" Zach asked.
"You coward!" A man yelled. "Now you want to talk! Well, it's too late for that boy. You should have considered that before you stole everything from it."
"Let's grab him!" A woman raised a pitchfork. "Take him to the brick!"
"Hey, just wait a minute!" Kitt yelled. "Who do you think you are? Doesn't he get some kind of trial first?"
The old man stepped forward. "He had one, only he was not present."
"Oh." Kitt didn't know what to say. "Isn't that quite unfair?"
"Not in this town." The old man raised his stick again. "And you are his comrades so you'll pay too!"
Moka checked his wallet. "Well, I don't have that much, but...."
"With your lives!"
"Hold up!" All looked at Derak. "If you want to kill me, without any reason I may add, please grand me a last wish."
"That won't help you sonny." Another man said. "What is your wish?"
Derak took his last cigarette. "Let me have this last one."
The whole town looked with a face of disgust. "A cigarette?! How primitive!" One said.
Derak lid his last cigarette. "I'm so disappointed in you Derak." Kitt said. "We are about to get killed by an angry mob and you go smoking?"
"I thought you finally realised how bad smoking was." Mika looked with a sad face too. "I'm gonna die while my hair smells like an ashtray!"
Derak looked furious at them and threw away the cigarette. "So, you aren't going to grand me this last thing?"
"Well, no." Moka said. "You know how we think about smoking."
"Fine, then my other wish is you kill him first!" Derak pointed at Zach.
Zach became pale. "But..." He couldn't say more.
"That was so low of you Derak." Kitt said with a face of disgust. She looked away and then saw the cigarette. It landed between the dry hay and she saw it fuming. "On second thought..." She said with a smile. "You should take him first."
"Kitt?" Zach asked with a trembling voice.
Derak looked at Kitt and saw Kitt smiling. He then knew what she knew. He smiled. "Yeah, and you can have those 2 kids too!" He pointed at Mika and Moka.
"Not us!" Moka yelled.
"I'm too cute to die!"
The hay started to get on fire. While the smoke slowly grew, Zach and his friends were arguing about who would die first. All were pointing at the other, when suddenly a woman pointed at the shed. "FIRE!" She yelled.
Zach looked at the haystack and saw the fire. He then looked at a smiling Kitt and Derak. He smiled too. "Let's see what happens when you add fire to fire!" Zach aimed his hands. "Zako Y Chosen!"
The haystack was now completely on fire and the village forgot all about Zach and his friends. While they tried to put the big fire out, Zach and his friends managed to get out of the village.

After a while, all hid in the forest near the village. Kitt and Derak did a high five. "Great idea Derak!" Kitt complimented.
Derak smiled. "Actually, it was Lady Gaia who gave me this idea."
Zach gave Derak a hand. "Sorry I doubted on you."
"It's okay." Derak said. "But after today... I'm certain of it."
"Of what?" Mika asked.
"I will never touch a cigarette in my life again!"

The end.
